Abstract
After careful study,we believe that the interpretation of the"Liu-Zu Principle" as appeared in" The Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art"should differ from that appeared in some literatures. The right interpretation should be:as the flags(slices) are piled up to form a 3 dimensional object,as long as the surface area of each corresponding flag(slice) remains the same, the volume of the resulting object remains the same.
