A direct, rapid, quantitative colorimetric assay to determine neutrophil primary granule degranulation was adapted for use with bovine neutrophils and demonstrates that the assay is capable of detecting important differences that may occur in de Granule exocytosis and in total neutrophIL myeloperoxidase content.
