Sounds and sound production in fishes

The anatomy of sound generating organs is analyzed, the mechanisms of production of different types of sounds (stridulation, drumming, cavitation, and percussion, as well as hydrodynamic, pneumatic, stringed, and respiratory sounds) are discussed.
