There is progressive narrowing/ obliteration of the postglomerular capillaries which leads to a progressive decrease inglomerular filtration rate and thus to a rise in serum creatinine concentration in diabetic glomerulosclerosis, renal glomerular amyloidosis, decompensated benign nephrosclerosis, secondary malignant nephrosis, and chronic interstitial nephritis.
