Matrigel: basement membrane matrix with biological activity.

This extract, termed Matrigel, Cultrex, or EHS matrix, promotes cell differentiation, and is used to measure the invasive activity of tumor cells and to improve graft survival, repair damaged tissues, and increase tumor growth.
