This book argues that mitochondria are probably the guilty party or at least ‘accomplices’ in the cell death that characterizes neurodegenerative dis-orders and experimental block of the respiratory chain by selective mitochondrial toxins inaboratory animals leads to neurological andhistological abnormalities that can be veryminiscent of the human diseases.
