An eight-step new-statistics strategy for research with integrity is described, which starts with formulation of research questions in estimation terms, has no place for NHST, and is aimed at building a cumulative quantitative discipline.

Abstract

This article suggests some of the unfinished business of special education. Attention is called to the unresponsive manner in which advice of our leadership has been utilized. The long range concerns for professional standards, continuing education, legislation, class designation and groupings, and diagnostic teaching are discussed.
