Caenorhabditis elegans SORB-1 localizes to integrin adhesion sites and is required for organization of sarcomeres and mitochondria in myocytes

The role of proteins with sorbin and Src homology 3 domains in living organisms is poorly understood, despite the high degree of conservation of these proteins in metazoans. The single member of this protein family in Caenorhabditis elegans plays roles in muscle contraction at the worm equivalent of Z-disks and in positioning organelles.
