도시지속성을 위한 규모 및 인구변화별 도시유형 특성요인 분석

The study aims at investigating features of urban characteristics by types of cityassociated with city size and population change for urban sustainability focused on 228individual korean cities. For th analysis, this study classifies the cities into four types interms of city size and population change, such as large area with population increase(ILA),large area with population decrease(DLA), small area with population increase(ISA), smallarea with population decrease(DSA), and performs statistical analyses including ANOVA,duncan post-hoc test, and multinomial logistic analysis. The results show that thesignificant urban factor of ILA is economic advantages while DLA is undue social welfareand lack of local financial soundness. In case of ISA, the factor is very similar to the ILA. DSA is found that there is an external diseconomy associated with economic disadvantageand high density. The significant implication of this study shows that it is necessary to setup local based urban policy no matter the city size and population change. Concretelycities with population increase generally need to use their physical environments whilecities with population decrease should focus on local industry and residential welfarepolicies.
