Hybrid, Multiscale Monte Carlo Algorithm for Simulating Stochastic Systems

This work states that in situations where intracellular noise is critical to the functional behavior of the cell, deterministic solvers fare poorly, and exact stochastic solvers like the SSA should be considered.
