The notion that EGFRI-induced paronychia is initially not the result of an infectious process is supported, despite appropriate antibiotic treatment for positive cultures of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), respectively, paronieschia persisted and nail avulsions were performed.
