The DREAM scheme significantly enhances the applicability of MCMC simulation to complex, multi-modal search problems andErgodicity of the algorithm is proved, and various examples involving nonlinearity, high-dimensionality, and multimodality show that DREAM is generally superior to other adaptive MCMC sampling approaches.
