The genesis of mesodermal tissues, such as bone, cartilage, muscle, marrow stoma, tendon, fat, dermis, and connective tissues, in either embryos or adult organisms is referred to as the mesengenic process and provides a logic for understanding the rapid repair of tissue injuries.
