A Dynamical Approach to Gestural Patterning in Speech Production

This article attempts to reconcile the linguistic hypothesis that speech involves an underlying sequencing of abstract, discrete, context-independent units, with the empirical observation of continuous, Context-dependent interleaving of articulatory movements.
