The essential oil of aromatic and medicinal plants such as thyme, European pennyroyal and rosemary and Rosmarinus officinalis L., show inhibitory activities on the germination of spore or arthrospores of all the dermatophytes tested with concentrations ranging from 0.001 to 4%.
