Last Saturday evening, an Owatonna officer stopped a vehicle for having loud exhaust—the officer could hear the vehicle from over a half block away. Once the vehicle was stopped, a back-up officer observed a passenger trying to conceal a marijuana pipe. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a loaded Jimenez 9mm handgun in the center console and a box of 9mm ammunition in the backseat. In addition, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle. Later, the officer reviewed video footage from Walmart of the driver purchasing the 9mm ammunition. The driver, Skylar Guggisberg, age 26 of Owatonna, was arrested and has been charged with Possess[ing] Ammo/Firearm [by a Convicted Felon]. Court records show Guggisberg was convicted in 2017 of felony receiving stolen property. Family Members Rescued—
