Minimising toxicity of cadmium in plants—role of plant growth regulators

An overview of Cd status in soil and its toxicity in plants and major PGRs are introduced, mechanisms potentially involved in PGR-mediated enhanced plant tolerance to Cd are appraised and key aspects so far unexplored in the subject area are highlighted.
