Lectures on algebraic cycles

These lecture notes form an expanded version of a series of lec- tures delivered by the author during 13-19 August 2000 at the Instituto de Matematicas at UNAM in Cuernavaca, and 20-24 August 2000 at the Instituto de Matematicas at UNAM in Mexico City, as part of the conference activity on Geometria Algebraica y Algebra Conmutativa. They are intended to give a survey of the subject on Algebraic Cycles to non-specialists, and from the point of view of a transcendental algebraic geometer.
