Abstract

In this article, a new and powerful analytical method, called homotopy-perturbation method is introduced to solve nonlinear coupled systems of reaction-diffusion equations. The homotopy perturbation method deforms a difficult problem into a simple one which can be easily solved. It has been attempted to illustrate the capabilities and wide-range applications of homotopy-perturbation method for solving nonlinear engineering problems. Comparison between homotopy-perturbation method and Adomian decomposition method shows that the former is more effective than the latter. In this paper, He's homotopy-perturbation method is introduced to overcome the difficulties arising in calculating Adomian polynomials.
