Optical Generation of Millimeter Wave Signals

Based on the summary of the basic principle of optical generation of millimeter wave signals, the working principle of intensity modulation, optically injection locking, optical heterodyne and optoelectronic oscillator are indroduced. The typical experimental setups of the above schemes are analyzed, their advantage and disadvantage are presented, and the developing prespect is previewed their recent developments are also included.
