Experimental study on energy and water cycle in Tibetan Plateau through GAME/Tibet and CAMP/Tibet experiments
Abstract
The intensive observationperiod(IOP)and long-term observation of the GEWEX(Global Energy and Water cycle Experiment) Asian Monsoon Experiment on the Tibetan Plateau(GAME/Tibet) and CEOP(Coordinated Enhanced Observing Period) Asia-Australia Monsoon Project(CAMP) on the Tibetan Plateau(CAMP/Tibet) have been done successfully in the past 8years.A large amount of data have been collected, which are the best data set so far for the study of energy and water cycle over the Tibetan Plateau. The field experiments of GAME/Tibet and CAMP/Tibet are firstly introduced. The research progresses in the land-atmospheric interaction, land surface parameters derived from satellite remote sensing and filed observations as well as the modeling developing areshown in this paper. The existing problems and the solving ways are presented in this paper at the same time.
