Abstract
Research purposes: The evaluation of water-inrush risk of railway karst tunnel with the analytic hierarchy process is to quantify the factors of water-inrush risks, work out relatively superior or inferior ordering weight through the calculation of various risk factors relate to the total goal of water-inrush risk evaluation, and compare the weight among the various factors to evaluate the water-inrush risks of karst tunnel under different hydrogeological conditions or in different sections of karst tunnel.Research conclusions:The evaluation of water-inrush risks of karst tunnel with the analytic hierarchy process can overcome the deviations caused by man's subjectivity. This evaluation method was used for evaluation of the water-inrush risks of the underground river channel in Deshengchang and the slope in entry area of Qiyue Mountain Tunnel of Yichang-Wanzhou Railway. It was concluded the water-inrush risks of these areas were high and the evaluated results basically corresponded to the water-inrush conditions during the tunnelling.
