Experimental Study on Concentration and Angle Effect of Rock Salt Dissolution

tlooto Summary

Dissolution rate of rock salt decreases with increasing solution concentration and angle effects observed

Abstract

The dissolution rate of rock salt is the key factor affecting the efficiency of rock salt mining and salt cavern gas storage construction, the dissolution rate of rock salt usually decreases with the increase of solution's concentration. It was found through the experimental study on Jintan NaCl rock salt that the dissolution of NaCl rock salt has obvious concentration and angle effects. The dissolution rate of NaCl rock salt decreases significantly as the solution concentration increases. The dissolution rate increases obviously as the dissolution angle changes from 90°to-90°in constant concentration, and the latter is 3times the former when the density is 1.035g/mL.MATLAB was used to get the relationship of dissolution rate with concentration and angle, which can provide reference for rock salt mining and storage construction.
