Roche is Chief Research Officer of The Research Board, and former Chief Scientist at The Concours Group, a management-consulting firm based in Houston, Texas and Watertown, Massachusetts. He received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1987, M.Phil. in 1983; M.A. in International Relations from the School of Advanced International Studies (Washington, D.C.), and B.A. from Antioch College. He has taught at New York University, the University of Arizona, and the University of California Berkeley. He is the author of (a) Managing Information Technology in Multinational Corporations, (b) Telecommunication and Business Strategy, and has edited several books including books on Global IT.
