Abstract
According to the four common trip modes in the city, that is, walking, bicycles, motorcycles, buses, cars and taxis, and by quantifying their use costs, infrastructure costs, time costs and external costs, four quantifying models of cost were established respectively in the paper. Then, taking Harbin city as a study case,Harbin city traffic cost is calculated with a access data base software. The study provides the scientific basis for the traffic and transportation policy’s formation and rational utilization of the resources, and it advanced the sustainable development of urban traffic.
