COLD-MODEL STUDY ON A NEW FCC REACTOR SYSTEM

Abstract

A new FCC reactor was proposed, which was mainly composed of riser, fluidized bed and cyclone.By carrying out tests on a large-scale cold simulating unit, the effects of catalyst bed level, gas velocity and the structure of primary disengaged device on the catalyst recovery were studied, and the optimum operation conditions were obtained. The correlation expression related with the catalyst density in dilute phase was established and the calculated results agreed well with the testing data. While running at the operation upper limit stably, the catalyst density at the cyclone inlet was in the range of 0.62~ 3.75kg/m~3,indicating effective catalyst recovery.
