Abstract
The material of 15 MnV large scale shell ring forging's process is deteriorated for it contains alloying elements Vanadium.Forging process is deteriorated,which was repeatedly found in the actual production of ultrasonic testing disqualification after roughing.The location of intensive internal defects is about in the middle part of forging closer.Through to the raw materials,forging and heat treatment process were tracked and analyzed in detail,the main reason of leading to disqualification of ultrasonic testing was found.From this,the manufacturing technique is perfect,and the goal of improving the quality of large forgings was reached.
