Abstract
To research the interior booming noise of a FR car occurring in a certain engine speed range, we build a theoretical model for drivetrain torsional vibration and obtain torsional vibration modal information. Then by means of forced vibration analysis and torsional vibration test, the accuracy of the theoretical calculation is verified. It is shown that the low speed booming noise of the car is caused by the torsional vibration of the drivetrain, therefore corresponding measures can be adopted to reduce amplitude of torsional vibration, and thus avoid low speed interior booming noise.
