Framework of problems in large scale wind integration

In the recent ten years,wind power has been developing rapidly in major countries and regions.The static and dynamic characteristics of output power has essential difference comparing to conventional generations.The significant challenges are imposed to power system adequacy and stability,and as a result constraints to the penetration level of wind power in power system.Based on the uniqueness of wind power and conventional generations,this paper focused to discuss its implications and relationships of power system adequacy and stability,and propose basic solutions to facilitate large scale integration of wind power into power system.
