tlooto Summary
A sensitivity study of rigid bracing domes reveals that vertical deviation of support positioning has the most significant influence on structure stability.
Abstract
Rigid bracing dome is a new type of prestressed space structure. One challenge is the actual structure is difficult to be consistent with the structure in design drawings. In this paper,a sensitivity study is carried out using orthogonal design method. The analysis is performed on a rigid bracing dome with a 76 mspan. The analysis results show that the vertical deviation of support positioning has the most significant influence, while the impact of circumferential deviation is negligible. For the internal forces of outer ring ridge cable, the influence of outer rod length deviation is not significant, but the influence of the inner diagonal rod length deviation and other factors are significant. For the nodal vertical displacement of the inner rod,the effect of deviation of inner ring diagonal rod and outer ring rod is not significant, but the effect of outer ridge cable deviation and other factors are highly significant. These research results might provide a theoretical reference for adjusting cable force in similar projects.
