Seismic performance analysis of a main power building of a thermal power plant

Abstract

Frame-bent structure is the structural form that is frequently used in the main mill building of a thermal power plant, due to the characteristics of the mass and stiffness maldistribution,it is particularly important to research the elastic-plastic seismic response analysis to ensure the normal operation of power plant. Taking a practical project as the research object, this paper uses the large general finite element software ABAQUS,in which the fiber model is used to research the structural seismic performance under rare earthquake and the deformation and mechanical characteristics of elastoplastic model throughout the earthquake effect, the effectiveness and feasibility of the method is verified on the basis of the structural dynamic characteristics. The analysis results show that the seismic fortification standard of "no collapse under strong earthquake"can be achieved and the results can provide important basis for design. A successful engineering case was provided for the elastic-plastic seismic response analysis method in the application of nuclear power factory workshop structure.
