Bioremediation of high molecular weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons: a review of the microbial degradation of benzo[a]pyrene.

The focuss of this review is on the high molecular weight PAH benzo[a]pyrene (BaP), which has been observed to accumulate in marine organisms and plants which could indirectly cause human exposure through food consumption.
