New and important roles for DMSP in marine microbial communities

Results of recent studies provide evidence that DMSP plays important roles in the carbon, sulfur and perhaps metal and DOM cycles in marine microbial communities, and draws attention to DMSP as a molecule of central importance to marine biogeochemical and ecological processes.
