Three novel tridentate Schiff base ligands derived from 3-hydroxysalicylaldehyde with a new amine N-(pyridyl)-2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-5-aminobenzylamine and their metal complexes have been prepared and tested against to Bacillus subtilis IMG 22, Micrococcus luteus LA 2971 and Candida albicans CCM 314.
