Physiological and antioxidative responses of medicinal plants exposed to heavy metals stress

This review focuses mainly on the physiological and biochemical responses of medicinal plants to different heavy metals stresses and the detoxification/antioxidative pathways involved, all of which may lead to enhanced yield of secondary metabolites i.e. a desirable consequence of an undesirable environmental factor.
