Inhibitory effect of Oxymatrine on vascular endothelial cell proliferation induced by tumor

tlooto Summary

Oxymatrine can inhibit VEC proliferation induced by lung and gastric carcinoma cells.

Abstract

Objective To investigate inhibitory effect of Oxymatrine on vascular endothelial cell (VEC) proliferation induced by lung and gastric carcinoma cells. Methods Inhibitory effects of Oxymatrine on proliferation of VEC,human lung adenocarcinoma SPC-A-1 cell and human poorly differentiated gastric carcinoma MKN-45 cell and VEC proliferation induced by SPC-A-1 and MKN-45 cells were analysed with MTT method. Results When the concentration of Oxymatrine was 2.5~10 mg/ml,the inhibitory rate of Oxymatrine to VEC proliferation was 4.6%~36.4%.When the concentration was in the range of 0.156~10 mg/ml,its inhibitory rate to SPC-A-1 and MKN-45 cells proliferation was 3.7%~93.9% and 2.1%~93.6%.The inhibitory rate of the conditional cultured medium of SPC-A-1 and MKN-45 cells acted with Oxymatrine 1.25~10 mg/ml to VEC proliferation was 11.1%~37.0% and 8.7%~39.1%.When Oxymatrine was 1.25~10 mg/ml,the inhibitory rate to VEC proliferation induced by the conditional cultured medium of SPC-A-1 and MKN-45 cells was 13.8%~58.6% and 15.9%~79.4%.Conclusion Oxymatrine can inhibit VEC proliferation induced by lung and gastric carcinoma cells.
