Study of Characteristics of Coal Adsorbing Water

This paper studys micro-mechanism and the influence of water to adsorbing gas.By analysis it can be concluded that micro-mechanism of coal adsorbing water is the results of attractions of water molecules and coal molecules each other.These attractions include van der Waals attractions between molecules and hydrogen bond.Van der Waals attractions include dispersion force,orientation force(Electrostatic force),inducement force,exchange force.Because attractions between water molecules and coal surface is quite strong,the moisture content of coal will reduce adsorptive quantity of gas in the coal.
