Eight-membered and larger rings

Abstract This review covers meso- and macrocycles possessing heteroatoms and/or subheterocyclic rings excluding those possessing lactone, lactams, and cyclic imides and having a literature appearance in 2010. The specific heteromacrocycles contain combinations of carbon with nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur, silicon, phosphorus, arsenic, antimony, and/or bismuth. There is also a yearly review of related reviews covering the supramolecular chemistry at the macro- and nanomolecular levels.
