Correlation of miR-155 in peripheral blood CD4~+T cells from children with atopic dermatitis with disease severity

Abstract

Objective: To determine the correlation of miR- 155 in the peripheral blood CD4+T cells from children with atopic dermatitis( AD) with disease severity. Methods: The expression levels of miR- 155 of45 children with AD and 38 healthy controls were detected by Real time- PCR. The levels of serum IL- 5and IFN- γ were tested by ELISA. SCORAD of the patients were assessed. Results: The expression level of miR- 155 of children with AD was higher than that in healthy controls( P 0. 05). The expression level of miR- 155 was positively correlated with the SCORAD and serum IL- 5 level( P 0. 05) and negatively correlated with serum IFN- γ( P 0. 05). Conclusion: miR- 155 is positively correlated with the disease severity in children with AD,which can be used for a marker of disease severity in AD.
