Retrospective Analysis for Determinative Value and Size of Penis and Testicles in 4854 Juveniles

Objective To Clarify and evaluate the developmental condition of penis and testi-cles of juveniles.Mothods The size of penis and tosticle were determined in4854juveniles(5～14years old)from changsha city.The normal value of penis and tosticle were established in changsha mu nicipal children and early youth.Results The study showed that5～11years old children,devel-op ment of their penis and testicles was relatively slow.Ove r11years old,the development of the penis and tosticle was rapid growth,it suggested the children development into adolescence.Penis circumference and testiles transverse diameter were no related to age.Con clu sions Penis length,lon gitu di al and transverse diameters of testicles of juveniles are indicators of sex development,it could primarily judge the sex develop ment pattern of ju veniles,early detecting ab normal dis ease of penis and tosticle,it is ben ficial to therapy in time .But penis circumference and testiles transverse diame ter could not an indicator of sex development.
