Therapeutic effect of Qiliqiangxin capsule on the patients with chronic congestive heart failure

Objective To evaluate the clinical therapeutic effect of Qiliqiangxin capsule in patients with moderate or severe chronic congestive heart failure(CHF).Methods 60 patients accompanied by moderate or severe chronic congestive heart failure were randomly divided into routine treatment group(control group) and Qiliqiangxin capsule treatment group (observation group),and the patients' grades of heart function, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF),left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVDd) and 6-minute walk distance were observed after twelve weeks.Results The LVEF and 6-minute walk distance were increased and LVDd was decreased in control group, but there were no significant differences in these indexes before and after treatment. However there were significant differences in these parameters in observation group before and after treatment (P0.01) and there were significant differences in these indexes between two groups after treatment (P0.01).Conclusion Qiliqiangxin capsule can greatly improve the heart function of patients with moderate or severe chronic congestive heart failure.
