Abstract
Tenor and educator Byron Singleton has performed leading and supporting roles in opera and concert throughout the United States. He has performed for seven seasons at the Metropolitan Opera as well as other leading opera and concert venues such as Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall. Most recently, he sang the role of Riccardo in Verdi’s Un Ballo in Maschera at Symphony Space, and Der Steuermann in Wagner’s Der Fliegende Hollander with the United Nations Orchestra. He is currently a member of the voice faculty at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and has been on the voice faculty at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. He holds a B.M. in Vocal Performance from Northwestern University and an M.M. in Voice and Opera from Mannes College of Music.
