Abstract
OBJECTIVE To research and analyze risk factors of infection on type II incisions to provide a reliable scientific reference to control and reduce incision infection.METHODS Clinical data of 16 560 patients with type II incisions in our hospital from2012 to 2014 were analyzed.With incision infection serving as a dependent variable,gender,age and other related factors as independent variables,single factor analysis and logistic regression analysis were used to identify risk factors for infection of typeⅡincisions.RESULTS Of 16 560 patients,postoperative incision infections occurred in349 patients with an infection rate of 2.107%.Single factor analysis showed that 11 factors had significant effects on infection of typeⅡincisions(P0.01).Logistic regression analysis showed that there were 8 related factors screened out of 11 factors,and age,anesthesia,blood transfusion,duration of hospitalization and emergency surgery were possible independent risk factors of incision infection(P0.01),and critical pathway,surgical risk classification and preventive medication were protective factors against incision infection(P0.01).CONCLUSION Strengthening control and management of anesthesia and blood transfusion,putting patients into clinical pathway management and shortening hospitalization,avoiding emergency surgery and lowering surgical risk classification,and using antimicrobial drugs rationally can prevent and control incidence of postoperative incision infections.
