Acute flaccid paralysis cases monitoring results analysis of Dehong area during 1995-2013

Objective Analysis the monitoring results of Acute Flaccid Paralysis( AFP),provides a scientific basis maintaining of keeping polio-free status. Methods Monitoring the acute flaccid paralysis by using China AFP Monitoring Program. Results 246 cases of acute flaccid paralysis were find from 1995 to 2013,an annual incidence were 4. 41 /100000. 6 strains of poliovirus were detective from 302 stool specimens( 2 were wild polio virus type I and 2 were type Ⅲ,1 was polio vaccine type II and 1 was type Ⅲ),the positive rate were2. 19%. 20 strains of Non-polio enterovirus, the positive rate were 8. 13%,4 cases were from abroad. Conclusions There is a high-risk input polio area in Dehong state,polio input risk is higher,immune barrier need to strengthen further.
