Leptospirosis epidemic characteristics analysis of Longyan city during 2008-2012

Objective To study the epidemiological characteristics of leptospirosis in Longyan city,to provide scientific evidence for formulating the prevention and control strategies. Methods The epidemic situation and monitoring results of leptospirosis were analyzed with descriptive epidemiology in Longyan City from 2008 to2012,the data was statistical analyzed with the SPSS13. 0 software. Results Totally 74 leptospirosis cases were reported in Longyan City from 2008 to 2012,the average annual incidence rate was 0. 55 /100000. Cases were mainly concentrated in Wuping county; The seasonal fluctuation of the incidence was obviously,the peak time of incidence was from July to September. Most leptospirosis cases were young adults,peasant accounted for77. 03%. The antibody positive rate of rats was 6. 98% in monitoring point,autumnalis was the main infection flora; The antibody positive rate of population was 31. 75%,autumnalis and jaundice hemorrhage were the main flora. Conclusions The incidence of leptospirosis was maintained at low level in Longyan city,the peak time of incidence was summer and autumn,the incidence key crowd was young peasants. To take comprehensive prevention and control measures include strengthen health education,epidemic monitoring,mastering flora change,rational vaccinating,is the key to control leptospirosis epidemic in Longyan City in the future.
