Researches on Vanadium-titanium Magnetite Concentrates by Composite Agglomeration Process

Abstract

Vanadium-titanium magnetite is characterized by high content of TiO2,low content of SiO2and the resulting sinter is at low tumbler strength and RDI. In this paper a composite agglomeration process( CAP) was investigated and the resulting sinter performance was compared with conventional sintering process,The research indicated that when raw materials proportioning was kept constant,RDI+ 3. 15increased by 5. 23% ~ 17. 4%,and the tumbler strength index excessed 55% after the implementation of the composite agglomeration process. Compared with conventional sintering,CAP led to the material bed depth increasing from 600 mm to 1 000 mm improvement of vanadium-titanium sinter RDI+ 3. 15indicators as well as higher production efficiency.
