Ethical Approach to Literary Studies: A New Perspective

On the basis of an overview of literary theory and method in China, this paper puts forward an ethical approach in literary criticism as a new methodology. It elaborates on the literary background, critical objects and contents, ideological and literary origin of ethical criticism in literature, and reveals the significance of this approach in literary studies.
