Kultur- Bewegungen: Multilokalität als Lebensweise in der Spätmoderne

Abstract

This paper on cultural movement examines inside international mobilities studies to give access to relevant cultural studies approaches that provide insight into the interrelationships between culture and movement. The recently heralded mobility turn (John Urry) directs attention from the former primacy of transportation-oriented mobility research to a basic examination (above all) of social studies influenced by the societal challenges of increasing mobility. A cultural studies motivated approach revolves around the mobile individual and the cultural accomplishment of skillfully handling the day-to-day tension between staying and going. The author of this paper uses the term multi-locality to describe this lifestyle and defines it as cultural mobility in the context of empiricisms of one's direct environment.
