Abstract

The geopolitical strategy of Central Asia is of great importance.Exploring China's geopolitical strategy in Central Asia and its impact to the "Silk Road Economic Belt" construction would provide some intellectual support and policy options for the further development and interactions between China and Central Asian countries.China's Central Asian strategy generally includes three levels,which are,Border security strategy of combating"three forces",geo-strategic balance strategy among great powers in Central Asia and sustainable supply of oil and gas.As a whole,China's geopolitical strategy in Central Asia has a positive impact on the construction of "Silk Road Economic Belt".Firstly,it creates a relatively favorable external environment for the "Silk Road Economic Belt" construction by combating the threat of the "three evil forces" and maintaining the stability and security of border area.Secondly,maintaining the geo-strategic balance among great powers in Central Asia is the key point.On one hand,it will promote the development of "Silk Road Economic Belt" construction and reduce the resistance from United States of America and Russia on "Silk Road economic belt" strategic implementation issue;on the other hand,it will also strengthen China's political influence and discourse in Central Asia area.Finally,ensuring the stability of Central Asia and providing the sustainable oil and gas resources of energy strategy occupy the important positions in the "Silk Road Economic Belt" construction.They are of great significance for promoting the regional economic integration,the coordinated development of all countries and the implementation of mutual benefit-win of "Silk Road economic belt" concept.
