Les personnages féminins dans Samarcande d´Amin Maalouf

EnglishThis study deals with the question of treating female characters in Amin Maalouf�s Samarkand, and the relation the author has with the respective female protagonists of the story. We will analyze the distribution of the latter to point out the strategies allowing the author to maintain a constant female presence though a limited deployment of this type of character, then we will consider the most significant female characters in the novel to see to what extent their development affects the reader and the text; at last, we will attempt to identify the author�s intentions in order to highlight one of the most important ideological dimensions of his story francaisCette etude aborde la question du rapport auctorial aux personnages feminins dans Samarcande d�Amin Maalouf. A travers un releve quantitatif et qualitatif des differents protagonistes feminins du recit, nous allons analyser le deploiement de cette categorie de personnages, et le traitement de certains de ses representants les plus significatifs, voir dans quelle mesure cela affecte le lecteur et le texte, deceler enfin les intentions de l�auteur et les rapports qu�il entretient avec les personnages feminins de son recit.
